OneBev – One Beverage - is a wine & spirits consultancy, specialized in headhunting the best candidates (full-time and part-time). More than 40 wineries, wine merchants and/or spirits companies from different countries have trusted us to find them more than 90 professionals. One of our clients, a BIG winery is looking for a:
JAPAN MANAGER

Main responsibilities:
• Expand the presence of our brands in Japan by developing new importers, customers and channels.
• Strengthen and grow relationships with existing clients through training, customer support, order management, and tailored sales opportunities.
• Represent the winery at major trade fairs, tastings, and promotional events across Japan.
• Conduct ongoing market research and analysis on regulations, clients, products, competitors, and industry trends in Japan.
• Provide headquarters with regular insights on social, economic, and market conditions to support strategic decision-making.
• Execute the global group strategy within the Japanese market and adapt initiatives to local needs.
Profile & Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years' professional experience in the Japanese wine industry. Experience in the spirits / beer industry in Japan working for an international producer and selling to importers in Japan is also welcome
• Proven track record in wines sales in Japan with a strong network of contacts among importers, distributors, and retailers.
• Results-driven, able to work independently and achieve ambitious targets.
• Languages: Japanese, mother tongue level is a MUST + English fluent – spoken and written -.
• Knowledge of wine & spirits (WSET or equivalent certification is highly valued).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel in Japan and abroad when required.
