Department Introduction
The Engineering Department in Hikari Factory (Yamaguchi Prefecture) is responsible for owners' engineering tasks related to pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities (architecture, equipment, air conditioning, piping, electricity, instrumentation). The department manages maintenance and calibration activities for facilities.
Job Description
- Subject Matter Expert for CMMS systems, processes and procedures
- Manage access requests to the CMMS system.
- Provide training to Engineers, Maintenance Planners / schedulers, Maintenance Technicians, Calibration Technicians on the use of CMMS.
- Follow procedures and manuals to enter and manage asset master data and maintenance / calibration records in the CMMS.
- Monitor workflows and the performance of the CMMS system.
- Tracking and monitoring the completion of maintenance and calibration work orders.
- Perform queries of the CMMS, develop and publish CMMS performance metrics.
- Create status reports for work orders, assets and maintenance records.
- Resolve issues with advancing work orders through the CMMS system.
- Communicates when CMMS is unavailable for maintenance or unplanned outages.
- Support business continuity by maintaining a paper-based work order management system as a backup for extended CMMS outages.
- Upload paper-based maintenance and calibration record from external maintenance service providers and calibration-metrology laboratories.
- Retrieve and prepare reports of asset master data and maintenance records in support of internal and external Audits and Inspections of the Maintenance Program.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance related to production facilities and 1 year experience in project management.
- Must be comfortable working with systems such as SAP.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, information systems or computer science preferred.
- Relevant work experience within supported groups, i.e. Engineering Maintenance, Manufacturing, Finance, RA/QA, and R&D.
- Experience in applying Information Systems solutions to business problems. Experience in team facilitation, problem resolution, and training.
- Experience with CMMS systems, such as SAP PM, Oracle JD Edwards, IBM Maximo, Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management System, is desired.
- Good administrative skills.
- Able to read and follow SOPs and Manuals.
- Understanding of the proper use of work orders, priorities, scheduling, etc.
- Commitment to customer service.
- Understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
