We have an unparalleled understanding of the evolving market structures, economics, and strategic and regulatory trends across all segments of the financial services sector.
Our distinct approach is characterized by deep specialization and rigorous fact-based analysis.
We are searching for highly qualified Principal candidates, for strategy consulting roles working broadly across financial services for our business and are looking for candidates with relevant work experience preferably in consulting.
Principals are experts in particular content areas and provide day-to-day leadership of complex client projects and aspects of the client relationship and commercial process, teaming with Partners.
They ensure on-time delivery that meets or exceeds agreed upon goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practice, their own expertise and the firm's technical competence.
They become trusted advisors to senior clients, with the ability to guide and influence their thinking, and to be viewed as experts in particular content areas.
Oliver Wyman Principals are seen as Partners of the future and, as such, are fully engaged in building business through identifying new and expanded opportunities; they create exciting and additive intellectual capital through thought leadership and are knowledgeable on a broad range of adjacent topics.
Managing the execution of individual project modules.
This typically includes developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation and analyses, conducting primary and secondary research, creatively tackling information limitations, and surfacing insights.
Supporting our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high-quality case executionOwning and developing executive client relationships, presenting to a wide range of audiences, and working day-to-day with clients and other stakeholders.
What You Will BringThe Principal position offers excellent career and growth opportunities for talented, highly motivated professionals with significant prior experience.
A minimum of 8-10 years, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or project-based, team-oriented environments.
Track record of leading and managing teams or work streams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast paced and demanding environments
Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
Financial services industry knowledge, breadth across or depth within one of our practice areas is preferred.
Ability to apply content knowledge for thought leadership in project execution, develop new intellectual capital to support business development activities, and for Manager and Principal hires to lead these activities
Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives
Undergraduate and/or advanced degree from a top academic program
Willingness to travel
Bi-lingual with preference for Japanese speaking candidates (N1 level)
