Senior Project Engineer - Power Generation

We are searching for a skilled Senior Project Engineer - Power Generation to join our team in Tokyo, Japan, under a hybrid work arrangement.
In this role, you will make a difference in the following ways:
- This position, centered on product development, utilizes specialized engineering knowledge to create optimal design concepts and mechanical specifications considering various factors like application, cost, weight, performance, and more.
- You will effectively communicate design capabilities to meet requirements across different functions, assess alternative design concepts, and collaborate with various disciplines to address corporate and customer needs, including troubleshooting product issues.
- You will lead discussions and negotiations with technical experts and senior designers to convey design intentions through comprehensive Design Review packages for different project teams.
- You will be at the forefront of decision-making regarding component and subsystem design, optimization, and specifications to meet customer needs for specific initiatives.
- Applying processes like Critical Design Decisions, Design Review, and tools such as iDFMEA and CREO will be part of your responsibilities to ensure high-quality design decisions.
- You will independently manage projects with significant business impact or complex components, demonstrating leadership and accountability within the project team.
- Driving the enhancement of work processes and systems in your functional area will be crucial to ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency.
- You will oversee technicians and provide guidance to less experienced engineers, actively sharing knowledge and fostering their development.
- Offering support and guidance within the project team, you will continue to bolster your technical expertise and contribute to the team's success.
- You will be recognized as a specialist in your discipline or product area within your immediate team, further establishing your expertise.
