Overview

The Due Diligence Researcher is responsible for conducting in-depth research on corporations and their executives, ensuring a first-class customer experience. This includes credit, criminal, and database checks while utilizing available resources professionally and efficiently. The role requires strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• • Conduct thorough background research on companies and executives, including financial, legal, and reputational aspects.
  • Perform credit, criminal, and regulatory database checks using internal and external sources.
  • Prepare detailed, high-quality reports based on research findings within designated timeframes.
  • Communicate findings clearly and professionally to internal stakeholders or clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve research processes and maintain efficiency.

Qualifications

• Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in data.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required (bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred).
  • Effective written communication skills in Japanese and/or English (additional languages a plus).
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy under time constraints.

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in due diligence, corporate investigations, compliance, or risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in using online databases and public records.
  • Experience in public data collection, analysis, and verificaton.
  • Previous experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
  • The motivation to learn new things and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • No prior experience required (training will be provided for suitable candidates)
