Asset & Wealth Management Division provides institutional and individual investors with investment and advisory solutions, with strategies spanning asset classes, industries, and geographies. We help our clients navigate today's dynamic markets and identify the opportunities that shape their portfolios and long-term investment goals. We extend these global capabilities to the world's leading pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, central banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, individuals, and family offices. 

The Asset & Wealth Management Division also invests in corporate equity and corporate debt, real estate equity, and real estate debt and infrastructure worldwide. Additionally, we provide asset management services to investments where Goldman Sachs has an interest. Consisting of hundreds of professionals in multiple offices around the world, our business operates on a global platform.

REAL ESTATE INVESTING

Real Estate team supports real estate investing across multiple product types across Japan. This includes sourcing, underwriting and due diligence, acquisitions, asset management, construction and development oversight, financings, and dispositions for the firm's real estate investments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead all aspects of investment transactions, from sourcing to underwriting, negotiating key transaction documentation, due diligence and execution
• Manage a deal team typically consisting of an associate and analyst for each transaction and all external advisors and operating partners. 
• Closely collaborate with internal GS asset management teams during and post-acquisition
• Work closely with GS control side teams including legal, compliance, tax and finance 
• Present to external and internal stakeholders (Investment Committee, fund LP presentations, etc.)
• Build and develop new and existing operating partner and broker relationships

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree 
• Native level Japanese language skills / Business level English language skills
• 6 years  of prior work experience in a relevant field
• Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Team player with positive attitudes and strong work ethic
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
• Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses
• Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate, and form independent judgments
• Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders 
• Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
• Integrity, ethical standards, and sound judgment
