NexGen Global is supporting a global management consultancy in Singapore looking to strengthen its data governance and regulatory compliance capabilities.
This is a high-impact role for a
Data Governance Manager
to work closely with senior stakeholders across Risk, Finance, and IT within the Banking & Financial Services industries.
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage data governance projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Drive key activities such as KDE identification, EUC inventory and criticality assessment, data aggregation analysis, and data lineage implementation.
- Define project scope, milestones, governance structures, roles & responsibilities, and delivery plans using established project management methodologies.
- Work with cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve issues and deliver project objectives on time.
- Establish documentation, reporting, and collaboration frameworks for senior management and executive stakeholders.
What's Expected
- Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
- 3+ years of experience working with a reputable management consulting company.
- 5+ years of experience in banking or financial services.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Governance, ideally in regulatory-driven initiatives such as BCBS239.
- Strong stakeholder and team management skills across business and IT functions.
- Familiarity with Risk Management and/or Finance departments, including regulatory or internal reporting processes.
- Fluency in
English and Japanese
is mandatory to liaise with Japanese stakeholders and clients.
