Position Details
As a specialist, you have a natural command of American English and will ensure that Rakuten Travel's products are commercially ready, accurate, and appealing to the target audience.
In this position, you will follow the guidelines for the en-US language and work together with the Localization Group to ensure timely delivery of localized content at the expected level of quality.
Primary ResponsibilitiesTranslating from ja-JP into en-US
Proofreading en-US content drafted by vendors/stakeholders
Maintaining the quality of the target language
Participating in initiatives to standardize and improve translations
Communicating with relevant teams to ensure compliance
Example projects/tasks
Translating new/updated information for hotels in Japan
Proofreading feature articles on popular attractions in Tokyo
Verifying geo data translations against official sites for SEO purposes
