Senior Network Engineer role involves joining the Global Network Operations Team to provide technical network active second level troubleshooting of Global Network and Security infrastructures. This includes WAN, WLAN, LAN, VLAN, Special Networks, NAC, Firewalls, Proxies, Remote Access, and Partner Connections. The individual will also be responsible for preparing incident reports, escalating to relevant parties promptly, and following through on case incidents.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of routing protocols EIGRP and BGP, MPLS, QoS. They will also have good knowledge and working experience in Internet working, IP routing protocols, and troubleshooting MPLS/IP VPN. Additionally, they should have a strong understanding of Firewall (PaloAlto) and VPN. A degree in IT, Engineering, or Computer Science, or similar is required, along with 2-3 years of hands-on experience working as a network engineer in a large enterprise environment. Fluency in oral and written English and Japanese is essential.
Key responsibilities include daily checks of network devices, troubleshooting, upgrading, installing, and decommissioning devices. The individual will also be responsible for global and local projects coordination, supporting Firewall requests from users, managing wireless access points, and inventory management. After hour and weekend work may be required for planned local/global project work and unexpected issues.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
