Main responsibilities: (List 5 - 8 major accountabilities below)

Responsible for managing "Quality Assurance Team" at MOOG Japan, covering the functions below:

  • Manage & lead the Quality assurance team and act as the "steward of quality" across the Moog Japan organization.
  • Maintain & improve Quality Management System, complying with ISO9001 & AS9100 standards, other applicable industry standards & regulations, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Design and deploy appropriate quality manuals, operational processes and tools and provide trainings.
  • Take part in development project activities to take ownership from the quality assurance perspective.
  • Conduct internal audit for internal quality related processes. Take professional care of the external audits for ISO qualification, other relevant certification such as ATEX, FM and customer audits.
  • Provide guidance and initiate actions to improve our product quality and minimize customer complaints. This includes the necessary engagement with the complaint handling, supplier quality handling and Moog group company product quality inspection.
  • Enhance all employees' quality awareness.
  • Act as a JMT (Japan Management Team) member and contribute to the management initiatives.

    • Qualifications:

    Education/degree

  • Bachelor Degree of Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent

    • Work experience

  • Minimum 5 year experience as Quality Assurance Manager in manufacturing company.
  • Work experience or practical knowledge about engineering is highly preferred, the product/technology segments include hydraulic, mechanical, electrical.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance standards in industry, ISO9001 as mandatory, AS9100 as strong addition.

    • Other skills, experiences or highly desirable qualifications

  • Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English (Business level is required)
  • Open-Minded and leadership with positive attitude for continuous changes
  • Compliance, Problem solving, Judgment & decision making, Persuading, Logical thinking
  • Ability to say NO when necessary

    Language Skills :

    Japanese as Native level , English written and spoken as Business level

    Travel Requirements:

    Occasional domestic travel to client sites and external events. Possibility to travel abroad, mostly other Moog sites.
