Responsibilities
We're looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Global Cloud Ops team. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Network Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

• Representing Japan and covering customers within the region as a part of our global network engineering team.
• Deploying, operating, monitoring, and supporting the Zscaler worldwide production network inside multiple datacenters
• Demonstrating a proven track record of operating enterprise or telecom data center networks, while being a creative thinker, self-starter, problem solver, learner, and motivated by engineering excellence

What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Native Japanese speaker with fluency in English, able to participate in technical discussions in both languages.
• 5-8 years of experience working with high-speed fiber Ethernet networks and troubleshooting L2 and L3 Fiber Ethernet networks.
• Expertise in BGP routing operation and troubleshooting in both IPv4 and IPv6 for large-scale Enterprise or Telecom networks.
• Experience in remote Data Center operations with strong organizational skills and familiarity with ticketing and inventory systems.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Deep knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTPS, GRE, and IPsec, with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in IP-packet analysis using tools like Wireshark.
• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux/FreeBSD systems and their role in network infrastructure
• Familiarity with Unix Shell scripts is a plus, while Python and Perl knowledge would be beneficial but not mandatory.
• Certifications such as JNCIP or CCIE
