Summary of job description: Financial accounting specialist with expertise in revenue recognition and debt management, supporting management accounting functions including rolling forecast and revenue analysis.

As a financial accounting specialist, you will showcase your abilities in the financial accounting field (mainly revenue recognition and debt management) while supporting management accounting functions such as rolling forecast and revenue analysis. This position requires leadership skills to discover and resolve business challenges, and after expanding your scope of work, you are expected to actively lead the discovery and resolution of team-wide challenges.

Accounting tasks:

• Adjusting and accounting for revenue and cost of sales based on revenue recognition standards (IFRS/JGAAP compliant)
• Analyzing and accounting for changes in revenue and cost of sales from large volumes of journal entries and order data, verifying the validity of accounting processing, and confirming balance sheet account balances
• Discussing and coordinating with auditing firms and tax accountants, explaining accounting processing, and preparing evidence

Rolling forecast and financial analysis:

• Supporting rolling forecast (cost, headcount, and asset investment forecast) every three months
• Supporting ad-hoc financial analysis for product and customer revenue analysis, and management decision-making
• Understanding and improving the entire process of rolling forecast and supporting process improvement

Other tasks:

• Establishing and operating internal controls (mainly for revenue and debt management areas) including preparing evidence and checking, updating business descriptions, etc.
• Responding to audits and tax investigations (explaining accounting processing, preparing evidence, coordinating audit procedures, etc.)

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• More than 5 years of accounting experience (not limited to revenue recognition and debt management areas, but with a wide range of experience)
• Particularly, understanding of IFRS15 and IFRS/JGAAP, as well as corporate tax and consumption tax, and the ability to consider accounting processing from an accounting and tax perspective
• Business-level English skills (TOEIC 700 points or higher, with experience using English in business, such as email and facilitation)
• Business-level Japanese skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office products (pivoting tables and complex functions for data aggregation and analysis)
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience working in a multinational company (particularly BtoB)
