Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Consultant to join our EC Consulting Department at Rakuten Ichiba, the core of the Rakuten ecosystem. As we continue to accelerate growth through synergy effects and diversify lifestyles due to environmental changes, we require stronger support for our stores and new ideas that challenge conventional ways.

In this role, you will work closely with corporate representatives, decision-makers, and store operation managers to maximize sales by sharing and setting sales targets, conducting market analysis, and proposing solutions such as advertising campaigns and product development. You will also analyze sales figures, provide asset proposals for services offered by Group companies, and support the development of original products and private brands.

This is a full-time position requiring about 2 years of working experience in sales or sales management, preferably in the distribution/retail industry. Ideal candidates will have experience in proposal/solution/consulting type sales, merchandising, and sales management. Fluency in English and Japanese is required, with a TOEIC score exceeding 800 (or similar level) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for about 100 stores, divided by product category. The work style is a 7:3 ratio of office work and face-to-face meetings, with daily communication handled via email, telephone, and online meetings. Travel and relocation may be required within Japan and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Share and set sales targets with stores
• Market analysis
• Propose solutions to achieve sales targets, including advertising campaigns and product development
• Analyze sales figures, including the number of people accessing the store's page and the amount spent per customer
• Support the development of original products and private brands
• Provide asset proposals for services offered by Group companies

Requirements:

• About 2 years of working experience in sales or sales management, preferably in the distribution/retail industry
• Experience in proposal/solution/consulting type sales, merchandising, and sales management
• Fluency in English and Japanese, with a TOEIC score exceeding 800 (or similar level) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country

Working Environment:

Rakuten Ichiba is located in Hirose-Dori SE Building, 205-1 Nakake-Cho, Miyagino-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi. National transfers occur, and there is a possibility of domestic and overseas business travel and relocation. Estimated Salary:

  ¥4,500,000 - ¥6,000,000 per year based on experience
