Freelance Tour Host – Nagoya (Guydeez)About the Role

Do you love Nagoya and enjoy sharing its culture, history, and hidden gems with travelers from around the world? Guydeez is seeking enthusiastic locals to lead private, personalized walking tours that showcase the best of the city. No prior guiding experience is required — just strong local knowledge, a warm personality, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.

Language Requirements

Fluency in at least one of the following:

• Spanish
• English
• French
• German
• Chinese
• Italian
• Portuguese

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engaging private walking tours for small groups
• Personalize each experience based on guest interests
• Share authentic insights into Nagoya's history, culture, and landmarks
• (Optional) Host food-focused experiences for guests interested in local cuisine

Position Details

• Location: Nagoya, Japan
• Pay: 22,000 JPY/day + performance bonuses
• Schedule: Flexible — typically 2–8 hours per day
• Contract Type: Freelance (no fixed contract period or retirement age)

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of Nagoya's culture, history, and key attractions
• Fluency in at least one required language
• Friendly, engaging personality
• Previous guiding or customer service experience is a plus (not required)
• Interest in food tours is an advantage

• Fully flexible — choose your working days and hours
• Typical tour duration: 3–8 hours per tour
• Overtime not required
• In-person walking tours; administrative tasks (communication, scheduling, training) may be handled remotely
