As a part of PGIM Japan Operation Team, this individual works on asset management operations including trade management, fund accounting, cashflow/collateral management as well as new clients/products onboarding and various projects.

He/she also works closely with colleagues in Japan and offshore and external parties including trust banks.

Your Impact

This individual functions as a member to take responsibility for trade management and fund accounting roles including identifying issues/areas for improvement in existing controls/processes, investigating and coming up with tactical and strategic solutions.

He/she will be involved in various project workstreams and network with the larger team by serving as a member for certain initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Handling daily trade activities, cashflows, corporate actions, class actions, fail, OD claims, and various charges in a timely and accurate manner.

Booking the above activities and NAV calculation/oversight for Japan and Australia unit trusts and accounts
Cash/position reconciliation
Communication with Trust Banks, Fund Administrators, Global Custodians, Brokers and offshore/onshore investment managers.
Projects to align with new regulations, improve operational workflows and add efficiency.
Analyzing issues and coming up with tactical and strategic solutions.
Responding to various inquiries from internal and/or external parties to provide answers / solutions.
Collaboration with other teams including Reporting, Investment, Sales, Product, Technology.
Communication and discussion with offices in US/London to resolve issues and enhance controls and/or quality.

Your Required Skills

>5 years of experience in financial industry.
Effective communication skills both in Japanese and English.
Earned a bachelor's degree.
Business level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong motivation for learning and a quick self-learner with intellectual curiosity.
Strong problem-solving skills with logical analysis and collaboration with colleagues in Japan and offshore.
Passion to build efficiencies and suggest improvements of existing processes.
Ability to multi-task / juggle multiple assignments and execute on deliverables.
Great team player with collaboration mindset and interpersonal skills.

Your Desired Skills

Familiarity of Trust bank scheme is not must but preferred.
Rich knowledge in asset management operations space, and familiarity with various financial instruments are preferred, but not required.
