TEAM
Our team's mission is to develop self-driving vehicles that operate without human driver intervention, realizing Woven's vision of " Mobility for All." We are particularly focused on Mobility as a Service (MaaS) applications. MaaS offers the advantage of increased vehicle usage through ride-sharing, enabling the installation of advanced sensors and computers essential for ensuring the reliability of driverless operation. We are transforming people's lives for the better through driverless vehicles. To accomplish this mission, we aim to build a diverse team composed of individuals with varied backgrounds, all driven by curiosity and dedication.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking engineers passionate about realizing autonomous vehicles and eager to work together to improve the future of mobility. Daily responsibilities include designing and troubleshooting hardware kits for autonomous driving, as well as designing, developing, and operating HIL systems for simulating autonomous driving systems. We are looking for members with extensive experience and advanced skills as hardware engineers in real-time robotics systems who can accelerate our team's development.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting hardware-related issues that occur during installation or testing of autonomous driving hardware kits (observing and analyzing phenomena, separating and identifying causes, implementing effective solutions)
- Design for installing autonomous driving hardware kits, including sensors, harnesses, and computing hardware
- Design, development, and operation of HIL systems to simulate autonomous driving systems with all sensors, harnesses, and computing hardware in a laboratory environment
- Implementation of automated testing frameworks using HIL systems
- Identification of complex system-level root causes arising from software-hardware interactions and execution of effective solutions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as a hardware engineer in real-time robotics systems
- Ability to solve complex hardware-related problems in real-time robotics
- Knowledge of sensors (e.g., Lidar, Radar, Camera, IMU, DMI, GNSS)
- Knowledge of in-vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet)
- Knowledge of vehicle power systems (e.g., 12V/24V power, relays)
- Practical experience with electronic measurement tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, CAN tools, etc.) and circuit analysis
- Basic Python implementation skills
- Working-level knowledge of Linux OS
- Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams
NICE TO HAVES
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Conversational Japanese proficiency (JLPT N2 or higher)
- Experience in CAD/drafting and strength analysis
- Experience in harness design
- Experience in analyzing statistical approaches related to hardware quality
- Basic implementation skills in C++
