Job Description We are seeking an SAP FICO Functional Consultant to join a dynamic team and lead the finance and controlling workstream. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing SAP HANA functionalities, with a focus on AR, AP, FCSM, and Vistex.
Lead the implementation and optimization of SAP HANA for the local FICO workstream in Japan
Collaborate with the global finance team and local counterparts to gather requirements, configure solutions, and ensure alignment with local business processes and global standards and templates.
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for implementation teams.
Provide expertise in customizing functionalities, integrating with FCSM, and leveraging Vistex for rebate and incentive management.
Conduct testing, training, and support for end-users throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all configuration and processes.
Ensure SAP FICO processes compliance and traceability within regulated environments, according to Japanese requirements for the pharma and life science industry.
Offer post-go-live support to ensure a smooth transition and address any issues.
Qualifications
5+ years of extensive experience as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant with a focus on AR, AP, FCSM, and Vistex., including at least 2 full-cycle implementations.
Strong configuration skills in SAP (module FI, CO)
Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
Proven ability to configure SAP FI to meet business needs, particularly in the AR domain.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex SAP concepts in simple business terms.
Understanding of compliance and validation considerations in GxP ("Good X Practice") environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese (JLPT N2) and English.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
Experience working in regulated industries, preferably life sciences, pharmaceutics, chemicals, health, food or consulting industry
