The role is based in Kawasaju, Japan. In this role, you will have the chance to work on several fermented dairy projects and dairy enzymes application. Your Focus
Independently designs and conducts experiments, optimizes and interprets methodologies. Recognizes erroneous or unexpected results, interprets and analyzes results, makes suggestions on path forward and contributes to formulating work plans and managing daily workflow.

Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Able to perform the application of cultures and enzymes in a wide range of products such as fresh fermented cultured products and plant-based products.
  • Able to follow the instructions and operate small-scale equipment to produce trial samples independently.
  • Operate various laboratory equipment to test the samples, collect, organize and analyse the data, and present the trial reports.
  • Ability to learn and work on new equipment / laboratory instrument.
  • Maintain the pilot plant equipment and laboratory instruments. Maintain a safe and clean work environment in their work area.
  • Manage ingredient inventory, ordering supplies, product shipping & receiving, and managing external product testing.
  • Independently perform routine laboratory and experimental tasks to support supervised research.
  • Document results and create report. Write technical notes/technical reports upon completion of technical service requests and appropriate project tasks to communicate findings.
  • Communicate results to supervisor and relevant team members including managers.

What Makes You The Right Fit

  • BS Degree, Food Science. Dairy school is preferred.
  • Good time management skills and a team player
  • Good communication, verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills (Word / Excel / Power point etc.)
  • Ability to work in fast-paced work environment

How Would You Stand Out?

  • 2 - 6 years' work experience in food or dairy industry, analytical laboratory
  • Knowledge in food safety, raw materials, food regulations, sanitation and production process
