Description


Job Summary:

Join our team as a Part-Time Children English Teacher at our flagship school in Kanda Gaigo University of International Studies campus in Makuhari and other schools in the Greater Tokyo area. Engage students, create an inclusive classroom environment, adapt teaching methods, and collaborate with colleagues for an exceptional educational experience.

Working Conditions/Work hours:

◆ Part-time position at our 11 schools.

◆ Teach 2 to 7 lessons (depending on the assignment)

Responsibilities:

● Deliver captivating English language lessons aligned with our curriculum.

(40 to 60 minutes for each lessons / 8 students max)

● Prepare the classroom, brief meeting regarding the lesson plans with your pair teacher.

● Cleanup the materials when you leave.

● Foster a warm and inclusive classroom environment.

● Adapt teaching strategies to student needs.

● Communicate promptly and professionally.

● Uphold classroom management and safety standards.

Qualifications:

◆ Previous ESL or child-related experience preferred.

◆ Excellent English communication skills.

◆ Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field. (Preferably but not a must.)

◆ Reliability and punctuality.

Summary of Interview Flow:

1. Initial Interview with Hiring Team (Zoom):

- Virtual interview conducted via Zoom with the hiring team.

- Assess qualifications, experience, and suitability for the position.

- Questions related to teaching background, experience with children, curriculum familiarity, and classroom management.

- Discussion of expectations and responsibilities.

2. Second Interview with Education Department (in-person):

- Interview with the education department.

- Evaluate teaching abilities (demo-lesson), knowledge of educational practices, and alignment with school standards.

- Questions about teaching methods, differentiated instruction, assessment techniques, and creating a positive learning environment.

- Convey enthusiasm for teaching, adaptability to student needs, and commitment to an exceptional educational experience.

- Selection process involves collaboration between the hiring team and the education department.

- Notification of decision and subsequent onboarding and training.
