We are looking for Technical Representative (Subject Matter Expert) that specializes on V22 Airframes. The primary function of this position Tech Rep (SME), is to provide the various Fleet shore activities (Squadrons) Technical assistance and training of it military and civilian personnel in the installation, operation, and maintenance of Aircraft systems. Additionally, these Tech Rep will provide technical guidance and advice to resolve unusually complex technical problems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Contractor shall provide on-site academic instruction and on-equipment proficiency training to Navy, Marine Corps, and DOD civilian personnel and other Government employees, on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting techniques, and operation pertaining to the Built in Test, routine maintenance, inspection, adjustment and repair of the prime systems and equipment.

  • Provide on-site classroom and on-the-job training to personnel on maintenance and operation techniques pertaining to adjustment, calibration, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of the aircraft.

  • Provide guidance and instruction on the use of associated special tools and test equipment. Identify needed training programs, devise local training course outlines, lesson plans and written examinations, including guidance to personnel in identifying needed training programs.

  • Provide training and instruction for the installation of modifications. Render technical guidance to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance problems. Provide an analysis of maintenance difficulties and advise on the establishment of changes to maintenance, inspection and training programs designed to improve the quality of maintenance.

  • The Contractor shall train and demonstrate the best methods of installations, modifications, and use of retrofit kits with heavy emphasis on safety precautions.

  • The Contractor shall provide advice on supply support problems as needed.

  • The Contractor shall assist the NATEC TC and the NATEC PSL, in developing training plans and identifying training programs for assigned systems, which will ensure Navy and Marine Corps personnel and NETS are trained to operate and maintain systems in accordance with Navy Technical Publications and the learning objectives derived from the Navy Mission Essential Task Lists

  • Utilize the Commander Naval Air Technical Training (CNATT) curricula, lessons and performance testing criteria when identified as a requirement by the TC or PSL to provide training. When usage of CNATT training material is deemed necessary, it will be provided by the TC. The Contractor shall provide training completion feedback to the NATEC TC or the NATEC PSL. Feedback shall include class rosters, test scores if applicable, and student course critiques. All training provided shall meet or exceed the Learning Objectives established by Navy Training System Plans and CNATT. The Contractor shall participate in reviews of CNATT course material. The Contractor shall provide feedback on course material, to include course review findings and data from the ELAR application within the CRM database.

  • The Contractor shall provide advice on the identification of, and instruction on the use of special tools, handling equipment, and test equipment associated with and related to the primary equipment/systems.

  • The Contractor shall advise on the development of resolutions to difficult and/or unusual organizational and intermediate level maintenance problems.

  • The Contractor shall provide technical advice and assistance in accident investigations, failure data reports, and material deficiency reports.

  • The Contractor shall participate at Integrated Logistics Support and Technical Working Group meetings convened by the Government as requested to provide technical expertise and consultation services and review/advise on Fleet recommendations for changes to weapon systems/equipment.

  • The Contractor shall provide on-site technical support to operating units, commands and shore-based industrial activities to analyze and identify weapon systems/equipment discrepancies in the operation and maintenance procedures contained in the most current versions of TMs for weapon systems/equipment; compare performance of actual weapon systems/equipment operation and maintenance procedures against the operation and maintenance procedures documented in these weapon systems/equipment TMs. The Contractor shall, when required, evaluate and review technical source data for weapon systems/equipment, such as engineering drawings, engineering change proposals, technical data packages, maintenance plans, logistics support plans, Interim Manual Change Releases, and Interim Rapid Action Changes, for technical accuracy and adequacy for incorporation into the applicable weapon systems/equipment operation and maintenance TMs.

  • The Contractor may be required to work or travel to sites which could include environments that are located at or near weapons magazine areas, flight decks, flight-line ramps, aircraft spots, combat zones, and weapon ready-service areas. The Contractor may be required to travel to activities within the following Navy and Marine Corps organizations/commands; all NAS Facilities and MCAS Facilities, Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters and activities, Navy and Marine Corps Type Command activities ashore and afloat, and Navy and Marine Corps forward deployed units. The Contractor may be required to travel to other activities within the DOD Commands/organizations or DOD type Command activities ashore and afloat, and forward deployed OCONUS units and activities. The Contractor may be required to travel to other countries in support of the type model series aircraft. Travel is for the purpose of training, evaluating, and inspecting weapon systems/equipment that have malfunctioned or require troubleshooting assistance during emergency repair. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be a High School Graduate
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Must maintain a valid US Passport
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance
  • Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and / or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned task.
  • Must past pre-employment background check.
  • Must past pre-employment and post-employment drug testing.
  • Must have training in Navy "A" and "C" school on applicable type model series or civilian equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on technical experience on the specific specialty.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience related to the job description stated above.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Prior experience as a QAR or Safe for Flight
