Job Description
Introduction to the Job:
Support YieldStar metrology process development and performance improvement for Rapidus in Chitose, Hokkaido.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand customer needs, create clear problem descriptions with customers, and deliver solutions in an efficient manner.
- Lead escalations as a customer interface, communicating with ASML experts in Veldhoven (the Netherlands).
- Collaborate across departments to share lessons learned and stay up-to-date with Best Known Methods (BKMs).
- Support other ASML products as needed, such as EUV, DUV, VCP, etc.
Requirements:
- Masters degree or Bachelors degree + 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Data analysis skills (Excel, MATLAB, Python, R, etc.).
- English: TOEIC >=600, ability to lead technical discussions.
- Japanese: JLPT N2 or higher, ability to participate in technical discussions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Semiconductor knowledge and experience, especially front-end processes.
- Project management experience.
Working Conditions:
- Some work in a cleanroom environment is required.
- Work location: ASML Chitose Office (Hokkaido, Japan).
- Onboarding and on-the-job training will take place at ASML Hiroshima office in Higashi-hiroshima, reporting to the Hiroshima Apps YieldStar supervisor in 2024.
- From 2025, the employee will work from the ASML Chitose Office and report to the Rapidus Apps supervisor.
Compensation:
- Estimated salary: ¥5,000,000 - ¥6,155,000 per year (based on experience).
- Overtime pay: yes.
- Health insurance, pension, workers' compensation, and unemployment insurance are provided.
