Senior Growth Manager-Job Description
Tazapay is a cross border payment service provider.
They offer local collections via local payment methods, virtual accounts and cards in over 70 markets. The merchant does not need to create local entities anywhere and Tazapay offers the additional compliance framework to take care of local regulations and requirements. This results in decreased transaction costs, fx transparency and higher auth rates.
They are licensed and backed by leading investors.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Growth Manager with a strong background in payments and a proven track record of consultative sales. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in selling payment products to enterprises, demonstrating an ability to influence senior decision-makers and drive strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales and business development plans to achieve revenue targets and expand our customer base in Japan.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with enterprise clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
- Leverage existing networks and connections in Japan to accelerate market penetration and identify new business opportunities.
- Understand clients' business needs and objectives, and position our cross-border payment and fintech solutions effectively.
- Communicate our value proposition clearly through proposals, presentations, and solution-based discussions.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and close contracts to maximize profitability and long-term value.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions that meet customer requirements and expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Compliance, Operations, and Customer Service) to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline progress, market trends, and competitive landscape specific to Japan. Requirements
- 8+ years of proven experience in Business Development, Growth, or Sales roles within the fintech, payments, or cross-border financial services sector.
- Senior-level expertise with a strong track record in either or both: cross-border payments and fintech solutions.
- Deep understanding of Japan's regulatory environment, especially relating to payments, financial services, and digital financial products.
- Strong professional network and an existing portfolio of relationships in Japan (enterprises, PSPs, banks, fintechs, marketplaces, and/or local regulators).
- Independent, self-motivated, and able to operate autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional sales negotiation skills, with proven ability to manage long sales cycles and enterprise accounts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent in both Japanese and English (spoken and written).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a relevant field; MBA is a plus. What We Offer:
