Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Role Introduction

Reports to: Assistant Engineering Manager

Location / Country: Narita / Japan

Employment Condition: 2-year contract

This role involves a fixed-term employment contract lasting two years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency to ensure a safe and reliable travel experience in line with our brand and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Working on a shift basis to perform routine and non-routine maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft in compliance with HKAR-145 and company standards
• Conducting maintenance for third-party customer aircraft following national authority and customer requirements
• Supporting operational duties and relief efforts as needed
• Overseeing third-party supplier performance and addressing operational issues promptly
• Executing contingency plans and handling ad hoc operational needs effectively
• Maintaining station ground equipment, vehicles, and facilities
• Coordinating audits and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Managing station administration and documentations
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Assuming emergency and crisis response responsibilities as required

Requirements

• Hold a valid or renewable HKAR-66 B1.1 license
• Possess a minimum of 2 current aircraft type authorizations
• Have at least 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance and ground handling activities
• Familiarity with Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department regulations
• Exhibit good business acumen and communication skills

Benefits

• Basic salary: JPY481,110+ (commensurate with experience and skills)
• Fixed monthly allowance: JPY50,000
• Additional allowances as per company policy
• Social insurance covering various benefits
• Commuting expense allowance up to JPY50,000 per month
• 7.75 working hours per day with a 1-hour break
• Two days off weekly and a 3-month probation period
• 16 days of annual leave after 6 months of service
