looking for an experienced(5-10 years) Technical Product Manager to lead the development of our BSS applications/Systems. You'll be the bridge between business needs and technical solutions, guiding products from idea to launch. Good to have Fluent Japanese (written and spoken).

Overview 2:

We provide APIs for Rakuten Ichiba merchants and partner companies to manage their stores. While the utilization of APIs is progressing, the usability of APIs, communication with API users, and the definition of roles and collaboration with the internal API team are not yet sufficiently organized. Therefore, we are looking for a Technical Product Manager who can devise and implement strategies to provide better services.

You will be joining a team of around 12 members. You will work closely with the engineers, PjMs, and PdMs within the team. While the internal work environment is primarily English, Japanese will be used for API support and communication with API users.

Responsibilities 2 :

• As a Technical Product Manager for the operation of Rakuten Ichiba's API Platform, you will be responsible for writing clear technical specifications, defining platform KPIs, planning releases and ensuring our services and highly secure, scalable reliable also forming agreements with internal API stakeholders, organizing existing tasks, defining future tasks, creating product roadmaps, and managing backlogs.
• Define and communicate the product vision, mission, and strategy for Rakuten Ichiba's API Platform and Open API program (incl. OpenAPI specifications).
• Write clear, testable technical specifications covering API contracts and non-functional requirements (security, scalability, reliability, performance)
• Organizing existing tasks and defining future tasks
• Competitor research
• Communication with API Platform users (external & internal) and service improvement based on their feedback.
• Creating product roadmaps
• Managing backlogs
• Operations and maintenance

Required Skills 2 :

• 3+ years of experience in web service product management
• Strong understanding of API design principles, REST Standards and modern API best practices
• Ability to read and understand technical documents (API Spec, architecture diagrams, system integration flows.
• Proven ability to write clear, detailed technical requirements and PRDs for engineering teams.
• Experience in creating and prioritizing product backlogs
• Communication with engineers to realize the product backlog
• Discovery of issues in the service operation process and its improvement
• English (Business level)

• Experience in planning, designing, developing, or operating API Gateway and API management
