You will oversee establishing and building relationships with the press, community, media and influencers by handling press releases and other media communications, responding to requests for information.
To be successful in this role, you will need an understanding of various media (print, digital, magazine, social) and strategic planning of communicating the brand.
You will report to Marketing & Communication Director.Responsibilities
Reporting to the Marketing & Communication Director, you will create and lead our PR and communications strategy.
Create strategic PR and action plans as well as an annual calendar liaising with all relevant counterparts.
Organize and coordinate PR activities, develop PR action plans by using appropriate strategies and tactics
Maximize Brand Awareness/Visibility/PR Value by utilizing a variety of media
Manage day-to-day PR activities: Work closely with our regional PR agencies, various stakeholders, and spokespeople; write, edit, and translate press releases, as well as other internal/external content both in English and in Japanese.
Oversee all kinds of coverage such as clippings, sample tracking, product placements, editorial requests.Develop and maintain strong relationships with the press, media, community, influencers, KOLs and VIPs
Partner closely with social media team to capture and distribute local content across appropriate channels
Event Management:
Conceptualize, plan, and execute various press events such as store openings, product launches, exhibitions, press days.
Manage, lead PR agency in leveraging their knowledge and skills for RIMOWA.
Search for new innovative PR opportunities
Analyze results of PR campaigns and efforts and prepare reports
Manage PR budgets and track spend

Requirements
Background in PR for 4-5 years.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills both Japanese and English
Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
Quick and enthusiastic learner.
Understanding of social media and solid experience working with influencers
Responds well under pressure with strict time limit.
Ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks.
Project and budget management skills.
Competency
Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable as a public speaker
