The Job Description:

Solventum is a new company, formed on April 1, 2024, as a result of a corporate spin-off from 3M Healthcare. We are currently updating our Careers Page and applicant documents to reflect the Solventum brand.

As a Process Engineer at our Yamagata plant, you will be responsible for overseeing various manufacturing processes, including the introduction of new products, improving production efficiency, maintaining existing product manufacturing processes, and planning investments in equipment related to new product introductions and process improvements.

You will work closely with suppliers, logistics teams, and other departments within Solventum to ensure smooth production operations. This may involve collaborating with colleagues in Japan and abroad, including web-based meetings and occasional business trips overseas.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or chemistry.

Candidates should have basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment, materials, and products.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required.

Experience with Power BI and Power Apps is a plus but not mandatory.

A valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

English communication skills: native speakers are not required, but applicants should be comfortable communicating in English.

Process engineering experience

Knowledge of mechanics and chemistry

Understanding of digital transformation (DX)

Work Location:
Solventum Products Inc., Yamagata Plant

Travel:
Domestic travel may be required to visit suppliers, cooperate companies, or other Solventum group companies in Japan.
International travel may be necessary to visit Solventum subsidiaries and collaborate with global teams.
