Your new role
- Collaborate across departments-including merchandising, store operations, and e-commerce-to analyse business trends and support initiatives that drive revenue and profitability.
- Deliver regular performance updates to senior leadership, highlighting financial projections, potential risks, and strategic opportunities.
- Monitor daily sales metrics to proactively identify challenges and recommend corrective actions to protect margins and revenue targets.
- Conduct targeted financial analyses to uncover insights that guide inventory decisions and improve overall business outcomes.
- Act as a strategic connector between inventory planning and financial teams, ensuring alignment on key business goals.
- Lead the development of financial planning documents, including annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, with a focus on sales, margin, and inventory optimisation.
- Support inventory planning teams by reviewing and validating their strategies to ensure consistency with broader financial targets.
- Produce post-event and seasonal reviews that distil key learning and inform future planning and strategy.
What you'll need to succeed
- Holds a university-level degree.
- Brings over 2 years of experience in financial planning, ideally within consumer goods or retail sectors; exposure to business analytics is a plus.
- Demonstrates strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in analytical tools such as Excel and eager to learn new systems and technologies.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and the ability to shape business direction.
- Embraces innovative thinking and is open to exploring unconventional approaches.
- Collaborative team member with a proactive and positive approach.
- Business level English and Chinese
