Team Overview

The department boasts a diverse team of over 30 professionals, both Japanese and international. They are dedicated to developing innovative web/mobile applications and backend services. They are now looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to collaborate closely with their development team, ensuring top-notch quality for their products before they reach customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Maintain close communication with stakeholders, including the Security team, Privacy team, Operation support team, Project governance team, PM, and testers.
  • Conduct both white-box and black-box testing alongside testers.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide meaningful feedback.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts.
  • Implement and operate new tools and processes.
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs.
  • Document QC/QA reports.
  • Perform automated regression testing when bugs are resolved.

    • Required Skills

  • Expertise in web application testing with JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in API automation from scratch using Cypress and Playwright.
  • Ability to work independently as the first QA in the team, optimizing product quality from a strategic perspective and creating comprehensive documentation.
  • Professional knowledge and experience in software quality control and quality assurance.
  • Hands-on experience with both white-box and black-box testing.
  • Strong understanding of software QC/QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, especially Cypress, and tools for stress testing.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Professional experience in TypeScript and SQL, along with basic knowledge of microservices and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for smooth collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
