Department Overview
As a senior product manager for Rakuten Ichiba, Japan's one of the largest internet shopping malls, you will be responsible for propelling product development for sustainable growth of the product to

• provide entertainment of shopping for shoppers in Rakuten Ichiba
• empower merchants in Rakuten Ichiba

This includes continuous discussion with planning department, creative department to improve the product.

Specifically, you will lead large-scale projects aimed at evolving and improving the overall marketplace. This includes defining project requirements, setting KPIs, creating external communication plans, and release strategies. You will also coordinate multiple development teams by overseeing and uniting Product Development Managers (PDMs) to ensure the success of the project.

In this position you will be experienced to plan and launch Rakuten Ichiba by yourself, which is our core business. Additionally, you will gain valuable experience as a leader responsible for managing and guiding numerous stakeholders in high-impact projects.

Position Details
As a senior product manager for Rakuten Ichiba, you will be responsible for

• Discussing proposed plans from the business department, clarifying business and system requirements, and defining system specifications for the entire Rakuten Ichiba platform
• Determining the direction for evolution and improvement based on market conditions, various KPIs, and feedback from users and merchants
• Creating a roadmap for product evolution and improvement, as well as managing the backlog
• Driving large-scale projects by communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, aligning understanding, and ensuring smooth progress

In product management of Japan's one of the largest products, you will be able to make huge impact on society with small improvement. Of course, you will make bigger impact with bigger improvement.

In creating a product cooperate with other product managers in Rakuten Ichiba and other group company, and professionals and specialists from various area include business department, you will be able to broaden your knowledge and skills in various professional area.

Besides, product managers and engineers belong to the same department and always have close communication in Rakuten Ichiba, so you will be able to lead flexible improvement.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Experience of the product management in the internet service field
• Experience of KPI analysis and improvement of the product lead to the product growth
• 3+ years of requirement definition experience
• Experience leading large-scale projects involving multiple departments
