Japan Senior Brand Marketing Manager

Role Purpose:

  • The purpose of the Brand Marketing Senior Manager Role is to design, develop and deliver the short and long term regional cross-marketing functional strategies, adopting business and market situation by each sales channel.
  • Be able to lead and drive an integrated process and matches marketing objective and business objective.
  • Get to know the consumer insights of each brand, i.e., Triumph, sloggi and AMOSTYLE, establish and update the consumer journey, lead 360 degree marketing in cooperation with each marketing function, and execute IMC planning.
  • While sharing the consumer insights of each brand to global stakeholders in a timely manner, she/he is committed to developing communication tools that deeply pierce Japanese consumers.
  • By fulfilling these objectives, she/he will contribute to the establishment and improvement of the image of each brand, the business itself, and the growth of the Triumph business as a whole.

The role takes full accountability of Brand Strategy Development, brand image building, creative
development/adaptation and deployment of tools as well as local implementation.
The Brand Marketing Senior Manager, she/he manages the brand marketing and channel marketing/ VMD for each brand.
Apart from direct team, the Brand Marketing Senior Manager works closely with many duties and people inside and outside the organization.

Your Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Brand Marketing Manager will develop and deliver the key brand retail tools and brand assets in order to drive sell-out and brand equity
  • Establish and update a consumer journey for each brand in Integrated Marketing Communication planning and lead 360 degree marketing
  • Establish and foster a collaborative, inspiring and energetic leadership style that promotes initiative and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Create and maintain powerful cross-functional relationships with Brand PR and Consumer Engagement teams (Digital Marketing and Membership Program Management) allowing for a collaborative approach to the execution of the Marketing Plans and a joint accountability to central plan
  • Support an annual budget planning process
  • Support for medium- to long-term marketing planning
  • Fully manage the Advertising & Promotion budget in each Brand

Marketing Strategy-to-Consumer

  • Develop Japan brand marketing concept/strategy which provide consistent brand experience of each brand via translate situation analysis, brand equity study, media and consumer trends to actionable insights that contribute to the localization of the global marketing strategy
  • Drive and lead internal cross-functional teams and external agencies to develop Japan marketing campaigns. Develop the planning process aligned against the business KPI and the functional KPI
  • Collaborate with the other key function teams including Global Marketing teams to ensure that we are consistently delivering against the Brand Mission via efficient processes, effective campaigns and engaging and inspiring shopping experiences linked across all touchpoints for our consumers

Channel Marketing Strategy-to-Floor

  • Develop impactful and efficient Marketing programs and tools to generate consumer demand at the point of sale in the Japan Market
  • Drive long-term, strategic and tactical marketing activities to all sales channels, covering sell-in and sell-out concepts, which are delivered as a result of using great consumer insights to develop engaging plans
  • Lead the implementation of in-store communication activities (BTL) to ensure consistency of the Global brand image in relation to the visual guidelines to all touch points (department stores, GMS, Retail stores and e-commerce)

Store Design Strategy-to-Floor

  • Delivers in close collaboration with Retail Teams, store design and shopping experience strategies and content which is aligned with the Global Brand Vision inclusive but not exclusive of store fit, fixtures, VM principles, display and navigation systems etc

Your ideal profile:

  • 8-10 years+ in B to C Marketing
  • Extensive consumer understanding
  • Strong business acumen and drive
  • Strong cross-functional capability in Brand Marketing management
  • 4 years+ team management/leadership experience in a large market.
  • Experience with strategies & concept development and execution, integrated brand marketing planning, and tracking ROIs.
  • Solid marketing experience, background in working at both HQ and Country level is preferred.
  • Experience in beauty / innerwear/ apparel business is a bonus
  • Proven ability to lead complex and multi-functional teams
  • Project management skillset
  • High drive + result orientated
  • Educated to degree level +
  • Fluent business language skills in Japanese and English
