CGK is seeking an experienced IB PYP teacher for our preschool program serving children aged 2 to 5.

This position is suited to an educator who is professionally minded, reflective in practice, and committed to inquiry-based early childhood education within the IB framework.

We place particular importance on prior IB PYP experience or a strong understanding of IB philosophy, as this role plays a key part in establishing the foundation of our students' learning journey.

[Key Responsibilities]

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP framework.

Teachers are expected to foster inquiry, student agency, and social-emotional development in early learners.

Preschool teachers work collaboratively with an international teaching team and bilingual, licensed Japanese nursery teachers to ensure the safety, well-being, and holistic development of each child.

Teachers are also expected to actively participate in curriculum development, reflection, and school-wide improvement initiatives.

• Teaching and caring for children aged 2 to 5

• Planning and delivering developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP framework
• Observing, documenting, and reflecting on student learning in line with school expectations
• Completing required records and documentation, including termly progress reports and assessment records
• Practicing global education and IB education
• Collaborating with other teachers on school events and related initiatives
• Substituting for other teachers when required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher (required for visa sponsorship)
• Experience with IB programmes (PYP) is strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship under Japanese immigration regulations
