A Proprietary Research Analyst is a valuable member of our research team and is responsible for gathering and analyzing information from a variety of sources to provide insights that directly influence the investment decisions in our fund.
Key Responsibilities:
Research Companies & Industries:
Utilize both primary sources (e.g., interviews, surveys) and secondary sources (e.g., industry reports, alternative data) to quickly gain in-depth knowledge about the industries and companies you cover
Generate ongoing market condition reports and comprehensive research reports for your sector and covered companies
Understand and communicate key sector and business drivers on a regular cadence
Research Infrastructure:
Develop ongoing research plans & pipeline of future research projects that leverage primary and secondary sources
Work with Portfolio managers and their teams to Identify research ideas and potential investment opportunities.
Build research infrastructure that is impactful to the investment process and pulls from a diverse array of resources
Communicate and Collaborate:
Conduct detailed analysis and publish your research findings internally on a regular basis
Effectively communicate these findings and your perspectives to portfolio managers, supporting them in making informed investment decisions
Requirements
Bachelors Degree or the equivalent in Business, Business administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering from a reputable university
Ability to converse with Japanese-speaking Investor Relations personnel and Expert Calls
Minimum 3 years of experience doing research in the Public Equities, Private Equity and/or Management Consulting field with experience covering Japan Markets
