We operate two premium resort properties:

  • Hotel Cypress Karuizawa
    (Nagano Prefecture)
  • Cypress Resort Kumejima
    (Okinawa Prefecture)

Position Overview

As a
Hotel Operations & Guest Service Staff Member
, you'll handle a wide range of front-desk, restaurant, and hospitality duties that support a comfortable guest experience.

No prior hotel experience is required — training is provided.

Main Responsibilities

Front Desk Operations

  • Check-in / Check-out procedures
  • Handling phone inquiries (internal & external)
  • Managing and updating reservations
  • Providing local sightseeing and dining recommendations

Restaurant & Banquet Services

  • Taking guest orders in hotel restaurants and cafés
  • Serving meals and beverages
  • Supporting banquet and event operations

Other Duties

  • Room inspections and light cleaning tasks
  • Supporting general hotel operations as needed

Training & Career Path

  • On-the-Job Training (OJT):
    Learn hotel operations from scratch with guidance from senior staff.
  • Within one year, you'll be ready to manage tasks independently.
  • Career Growth:
    Opportunities to advance from Staff → Assistant Manager → Manager based on performance.

Requirements

Required:

  • No experience required
  • Willingness to relocate to
    Karuizawa
    or
    Kumejima
  • Business Japanese level is required

Preferred:

  • Experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality
  • Previous experience in hotels or restaurants

Ideal Candidates:

  • Love nature, mountains, or the ocean

  • Have a positive, team-oriented mindset

Work Locations

Nagano or Okinawa

Working Hours & Holidays

  • Hours:
    9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour break)
  • Overtime:
    Approx. 20 hours/month
  • Schedule:
    Shift system
  • Days Off:
    About 105 days/year
  • Leave:
    Paid vacation, special leave, maternity/paternity leave, condolence leave

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual income:
    ¥3,000,000 – ¥5,000,000
  • Monthly salary:
    ¥200,000 – ¥380,000

    Twice per year (based on company and individual performance)
  • Salary increase:
    Available annually
