About the Role:
Entrupy is seeking a Senior Android Developer to help build and evolve our Android app, which is central to our product experience.
The core foundations are already in place, and you'll play a key role in advancing the app toward its initial launch and beyond, delivering a polished, reliable experience for our users.
While the majority of your work will focus on app development, you'll also contribute to parts of our Android SDK, ensuring it's robust, easy to integrate, and aligned with the app's capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on customer-facing mobile products, collaborating closely with product and design, and taking ownership of features from development through release.

What you'll do:
Build, enhance, and maintain our Android app, with a focus on performance, usability, and reliability
Contribute to the development and evolution of our Android SDK
Help prepare the app for initial launch, including feature completeness, stability, and polish
Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features
Write clean, testable, and maintainable Kotlin code
Debug issues, improve app performance, and ensure high-quality releases
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decisions
Collaborate with designers to ensure the SDK provides an intuitive and user-friendly experience.
Ensure the quality and performance of the SDK through testing, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Coordinate feature development and releases, manage timelines, and communicate progress with stakeholders.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the SDK to facilitate ease of use and integration by other teams.
What you bring:
At least 5-7 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on Android.
Strong experience developing Android applications using Kotlin
Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns (MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture, etc.)
Experience shipping and maintaining production Android apps
Familiarity with Android SDK development or shared libraries (nice to have)
Experience working with REST APIs and modern mobile tooling
Ability to work collaboratively and take ownership of features
Demonstrated experience in building SDKs or similar libraries.
Proficient in Kotlin and Java.
Experience with multi-threading and asynchronous programming in Android.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
Experience with UI/UX design principles or a willingness to propose first-draft solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
Familiar with or interested in AI development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
Good to have:
Experience with reactive frameworks such as Jetpack Compose.
Experience contributing to or maintaining an Android SDK
Experience supporting an app through launch or early-stage growth
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile app deployment processes.
Experience with machine learning integration in mobile applications.
Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Firebase) and backend integration.
Knowledge of Python and backend development is a plus.
Knowledge of iOS (Swift, Objective-C) is a plus.
