Under limited supervision, performs the most complex installations and repairs in any of the maintenance specialtyareas, such as carpentry, electrical, mechanical, welding, heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC), or plumbing.
How You Will Make An Impact
Provides leadership and technical expertise to other maintenance technicians in the diagnosing, maintenance,repair, installation of electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic structures and manufacturingequipment.
Has lead responsibilities in special events, such as major turnarounds at plants and may lead a group of in-house maintenance technicians and/or outside contractors during this time.
In larger facilities, may have on-going lead responsibilities.Works closely with Maintenance Supervisor/ Manager or Maintenance Planners to identify trends andcontributes to the development of inspection and maintenance schedules.
Uses the computer to maintain records pertaining to maintenance activity and spare parts inventory. Mayparticipate in cycle counts of spare parts.Participates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safety training requirements. Keeps work areas clean.
Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
What You Will Bring To CabotGeneral knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures and methods.
Knowledge of manufacturing machines and tools including their design and uses.
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, instructions; ability to use shop power tools.
Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment.
Flexibility in performing changing assignments; ability to work off shift and after hours as needed.
Vocational/technical school and completed (certified) apprenticeship required.
6-8+ years of experience.
