GEDA Specialist (Global eDiscovery & Data Advisory) – Tokyo

We're recruiting a GEDA Specialist to join the Tokyo office of a prestigious global law firm.

This full-time role is a key position within the firm's Global eDiscovery and Data Advisory (GEDA) team - a close-knit, high-performing group that supports complex cross-border disputes, regulatory reviews, and investigations.

You'll collaborate with legal professionals around the world and play a strategic role in delivering innovative legal tech solutions across the litigation lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end eDiscovery projects, from data identification through to production.
Liaise between legal teams, vendors, and technology teams to ensure effective workflows and defensible outcomes.
Leverage tools like Relativity, Nuix, Reveal, and Brainspace to manage data review and analytics.
Support internal stakeholders with project tracking, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
Ensure compliance with data privacy, cross-border regulations, and firm best practices.

What You Bring
5+ years' experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or legal tech project management.
Strong technical expertise in eDiscovery platforms (Relativity preferred) and working knowledge of the EDRM framework.
Familiarity with data protection regulations and compliance in a multi-jurisdictional context.
Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Japanese as a first language (written and verbal) is essential.
You must have the legal right to live and work in Japan.
