ING in Asia Pacific

What does the Compliance Team do in ING?

Banking Services is one of high regulated Industry, so we are bounded a lots of rules to ensure regulations. Compliance is a gatekeeper for the bank to ensure compliance of such rules and regulations.

We monitor activities, review transactions, consult how to comply rules, train staff and listen your issues.

What would you be doing?

  • Assist in second line monitoring and testing of compliance policies/procedures
  • Assist in updating and maintaining Compliance policies/procedures
  • Assist in updating training materials of Compliance policies
  • Assist in performing tasks related to Financial Economic Crime such as maintaining PEP list, customer due diligence and name screening etc.
  • Assist with relieving workload and backlog ( Local Compliance folder Management)
  • Assist with local administrative/ regulatory work (filing/storeing etc.)
  • Assist with adhoc mandates/ requestsWhat qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for? We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:
  • Post or undergraduate students at a university in Japan with legal work rights
  • Basic understanding of Japanese Laws
  • English communication capability is required as well as a high level proficiency in Japanese (native level or Grade 1 of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test )
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Keen learner
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Organized and have good interpersonal skills
  • Enjoy challenges and willing to take on new tasks
  • "Hands-on"
  • Possess a positive "can do" attitude
  • Team player
