Description

The Defense Group of Leidos is seeking a NetOps Specialist to support the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract in Yokosuka, Japan. This individual will be responsible for operating and maintaining the infrastructure and network, responding to alerts and events, and conducting root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day activities of Network Operations.
• Work with Cyber Security analysts to ensure secure information flow.
• Monitor and maintain network systems, architecture, and topology.
• Receive and analyze network alerts, track incidents, and document results.
• Assist in developing business processes and implementing standards and procedures for the Network Operations Center.
• Participate in strategic network and operations planning.
• Work within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support new technology implementation.
• Prepare recommendations for resolving NetOps challenges based on monitoring results and analysis.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of related work experience or Master's with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• US Citizen and DoD Secret Clearance.
• Information Assurance Technician (IAT) II certification and current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Hands-on experience working with DoD networks, including NIPR and SIPR.
• Ability to perform shift work as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
• Microsoft OS Certification or Azure Administrator Associate.
• Demonstrated expertise in networking technologies and data centers.
• Exceptional communication skills, including long-form business writing on complex topics.
• Proven ability to influence managers of other service support models and supporting teams.
• Ability to manage globally distributed 24x7 operations and short-notice travel in response to emerging issues.
