Description

As a key member of the finance team, the Lead Finance Specialist will report directly to the Manager-Finance. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the business and develop expertise in all aspects of the finance function.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expense reports.
• Oversee the monthly AR close process, ensuring reconciliation of AR sub-ledger to GL and preparation of AR month-end schedules, revenue reporting, and reconciliation to GL and metrics used for internal reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing with 100% accuracy, invoices, and provisions are entered into the accounting system.
• Monitor accounts to identify overdue invoices and follow up to ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Collaborate with the sales team and PM to resolve billing issues and improve the payment process.
• Process and review expense claim reports, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
• Manage payment processing (payroll, vendor payments, foreign remittance, reimbursements, etc.).
• Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and assigned volumes on a daily basis.
• Ensure timely statutory payments and filing of returns and related compliance.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and financial data.
• Prepare Management Information Systems (MIS), monthly financial reports with financial analysis, cash flow management, and forecasting.
• Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and complete financial documents.

Requirements

• Fluent Japanese & English language skills.
• Stay updated on the latest financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
• Maintain adherence to internal policies as per Internal Controls.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good knowledge of Excel, and PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Experience working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; Oracle NetSuite knowledge is an advantage.

Estimated Salary

¥2,500,000 - ¥3,500,000 per year (based on title, job description, and location).
