Your new role
As Claims System Lead Developer, responsible for leading the development team and overseeing the modernization of claims-related software systems. This role involves designing and implementing future-proof architecture, collaborating with stakeholders across business and IT, and driving the successful delivery of a large-scale claims transformation program. You'll also contribute to system rationalization and decommissioning efforts, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise initiatives.
What You'll Need To Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of IT delivery experience, including leadership roles
- Deep understanding of P&C insurance claims systems
- Proven experience in consulting or transformation projects
- Familiarity with modern IT architecture, Open API frameworks, and relational databases (Oracle, Sybase)
- Exposure to legacy systems (e.g., AS/400) and low-code platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
- Business-level fluency in English and Japanese (N3 or above)
- Passionate, self-motivated, and comfortable navigating ambiguity and change
