Purpose/Objective of the job

• Responsible for using a combination of analytics tools and market research techniques to holistically answer key business questions for the assigned BU in Japan
• In collaboration with the BU Commercial analytics Lead and peer counterparts, this person develops and executes the integrated insights plan including qualitative / quantitative Market Research as well as data analytics projects (e.g. decision science, forecasting, resource allocation).

  Key Responsibilities and Major Duties

• Designs and implements analytics, performance management reporting, and forecasting for planned and ad-hoc needs for the assigned products / indications
• Designs and implements primary Market Research engagements to deliver and help embed customer insights into decision-making for both in-line and pipeline products / indications
• Builds relationships and effectively influences senior management stakeholders (BUDs, Brand leads, Marketing, Medical, Finance and Sales)
• Applies global standards, models, and templates to drive high standards and consistency in analytics and Market Research
• Synthesizes output across research and analytics; presents results of strategic projects (i.e., Resource Allocation, Revenue forecasts, Market Research studies) in a coherent, meaningful way
• Contributes to the development and deployment of analytics and Market Research approaches and techniques
• Liaises with Worldwide, other geographies and functional teams for efficient sharing and strategic adoption of learnings and capabilities
• Provides leadership on revenue forecasting in financial projection cycles as well as the annual market planning and budgeting process
• Leverages wide variety of Market Research designs and analyses; independently develops non-standard solutions to address complex, multi-faceted issues
• May lead third party contractors
