EF Education First Japan is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented and enthusiastic Finance Manager with great communication skills to join our Finance team in Shibuya, Tokyo
.

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the accounting, payroll, tax and audits across several business units. You will be the focal point for accounting and tax matters as well as aligning business activities according to local statutory requirement. You will be reporting to our Finance Director, Asia but will have daily contact with both our sales teams in Japan as well as other functions and stakeholders around the world.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead all finance and accounting activities for the business, including monthly, quarterly and yearly closing reporting.
• Responsible on any internal or external audit event, Correspond with auditors / tax auditors / internal auditors for financial matters.
• Communicate with external advisers and auditors.
• Budgeting and forecasting financial result.
• Lead process improvements and other internal projects.
• Plays the role of legal affairs regarding contracts, agreements, and terms and conditions with third parties.
• Supervise & develop team, analyzing and improving team performance in term of quality and accuracy for finance process.
• Work closely with the business and your different stakeholders
• Manage payroll related matter.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experiences in Accounting/Finance (International company is a plus).
• Organized with attention to detail and a high sense of internal control.
• Ability to prioritize, meet challenging deadlines and perform under pressure.
• Strong leadership and good communication with positive mindset.
• Flexible and willing to accept new challenges.
• Skilled in MS Office, especially excel.
• Good understanding of the accounting cycle and Japanese Taxation
• Fully fluent in Japanese and business level written and spoken English
