Legal Counsel (JP/EN)

Key Responsibilities
Contract Management & Review

  • Review all contracts arising from Procurement activities and RfP (Request for Proposal) processes.
  • Draft legal clauses and perform redlining using approved templates.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain contract templates and ensure alignment with standard documentation.
  • Monitor and track legal document revisions and maintain legal trackers.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including the delivery team and business units, to ensure legal clarity and alignment.
  • Coordinate and support vendor registration processes with external parties.

Regulatory, Compliance & Corporate Support

  • Support internal Data Protection compliance initiatives across the region.
  • Assist with MOF (Ministry of Finance) applications, insurance renewals, and matters related to entity incorporation.
  • Ensure legal compliance across operational processes and documentation.

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Open for Japanese citizen or Japan PR only.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Preferably admitted to the Bar, or holds CLP/equivalent professional certification (optional but an advantage).
  • Strong command of Japanese and English, with excellent reading, writing, and communication skills in both languages.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and drafting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
