- This role will work under the guidance of a senior professional engineer in designing hardware, software, and control solutions to meet specifications.
- Ownership and leadership of assigned projects/tasks will be part of your responsibilities.
- Researching new and emerging technologies/devices and documenting detailed requirements will be essential. Our device range includes UPS, batteries, PV systems, heating and cooling systems, and EVs.
- Evaluating potential technical solutions, developing design solutions, and creating detailed technical specifications for procured items will be involved.
- Collaborating with suppliers, conducting device installation, testing, and certification on multiple client sites, with some travel expected.
What you'll need
- Relevant commercial experience
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in networked hardware installation and hardware operations support
- Familiarity with computer programming, command line tools, computer networking, and the Modbus Protocol
- Ability to travel to collaborate with partners, customers, and colleagues in other locations (with a valid driver's license)
- Knowledge of hardware product development (Raspberry Pis, Arduinos, etc.)
- Proactive attitude in a collaborative, agile development environment
- Native Japanese speaker/Fluent in English
