Company
Our client is a rapidly growing geospatial AI company founded in the late 2010s. They specialize in large-scale human mobility and location data, offering solutions across urban planning, transportation, retail strategy, tourism analytics, and positioning technologies. Historically, their data coverage was primarily domestic and dependent on external mobile-based and app-based GPS data sources, which they enhanced using proprietary mapping and machine learning.
To expand globally, the client recently acquired an overseas company that provides extensive worldwide GPS datasets. This acquisition gives them direct access to large-scale international mobility data, enabling more accurate analytics products, stronger AI capabilities, and reduced reliance on third-party providers. With this transition from domestic to global data, they are hiring a Solution Engineer/Analyst to help convert these datasets into customer-facing solutions.
【The Role】
As a Solution Engineer/Analyst, you'll bridge the gap between the data products and client success. You'll work directly with customers to understand their use cases, deliver tailored datasets, optimize data pipelines for their needs, and guide technical integration. This role requires both deep technical chops and strong relationship management skills.
【What You'll Do】
- Partner with clients to understand business objectives and translate them into technical solutions
- Design and deliver custom datasets, queries, and data transformations using Spark and SQL
- Build and optimize data pipelines to support client-specific requirements
- Provide technical guidance on data integration, best practices, and performance optimization
- Troubleshoot data quality issues and implement solutions
- Create documentation, sample code, and technical resources for clients
- Gather client feedback to inform product development priorities
- Support pre-sales technical discussions and proof-of-concept implementations
Requirements
- 4+ years experience working with large-scale data (billions of rows, terabytes+)
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala)
- Experience with AWS data services (S3, Athena, EMR, Glue, or similar)
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Track record of managing client relationships and delivering results under tight timelines
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Fluent English skill
