The Role: Environmental Health and Safety Consultant
In this role, you will provide technical assistance on health and safety compliance projects, safety oversight, risk assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, and compliance assurance programs for domestic and international clients.
You will deliver large, complex EHS (HSE) projects, ensure client satisfaction through project communications and engagement, and produce high-quality outputs to deliver client service excellence.
As a subject matter expert, you will have prior experience performing and reporting various Environmental, Health & Safety diagnostics, audits, and assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all ERM and client requirements, specifically those related to Health & Safety and governance.
- Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance, sustainability, site investigation, and due diligence transaction projects.
- Perform EHS compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Support development and implementation of EHS Management Systems, permitting, and compliance assessments and audits to ensure effective risk control and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in project reviews to identify risks, issues, and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, or a relevant field.
- A minimum 3 years of professional experience.
- Preferred experience in project management of multi-disciplinary environmental, engineering/design, or other technical studies.
- Open to travel.
- Fluent Japanese and English.
Estimated Salary: ¥6,500,000 - ¥10,000,000 per year
