Role Overview
As a C++ Software Developer (Testing & Validation), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of automotive software components within the Arene ecosystem.
You will design and execute validation plans, work closely with engineering and product teams, and contribute to the development of robust testing workflows for next-generation vehicle software.
Develop comprehensive and realistic test plans based on application requirements and product scope
Define and document test specifications by analyzing requirements and design documentation
Coordinate validation activities across multiple modules and product areas
Conduct functional and system-level testing using Arene SDK and validation tools
Identify and document software/product issues, and collaborate with Engineering for resolution
Work closely with Engineering, UX, and Product teams throughout all validation phases
Support external contractors during testing cycles and quarter-end validation efforts
Track and communicate validation progress, providing clear visibility for Go/No-Go decisions
Required Qualifications
Strong experience in automotive systems engineering and software testing
Solid understanding of embedded software and vehicle architecture
Skilled in requirements/design analysis, test specification creation, and hands-on test execution
Proficient with tools like Jira, Jama, and familiar with validation workflows
Strong communication skills, comfortable working across global and Japanese-speaking teams
Quality-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of performing in fast-paced environments
Hands-on experience with programming languages used in Arene: C++, Python, Go, Rust, C
Good understanding of CLI design standards and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using test languages such as Gherkin
ISTQB Foundation Level certification
Language Requirements
Business-level English
Conversational-level Japanese
