Description

EAP (English for Academic Purposes) Instructors needed to deliver Academic Writing and potentially Listening and Reading:

• Academic Writing at Waseda University, Tokyo (face-to-face instruction)
• Student Level: Intermediate or Advanced
• No. of students: up to 20 students per class
• Lesson: Fourteen 100-minute sessions per semester, scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays. Availability on Mondays is advantageous.
• This credit course aligns with the university's 14-week semester, requiring instructors to conduct all 14 lessons. Additionally, instructors must maintain attendance and grading records for submission within a specified deadline.

• Listening and Reading course at Waseda University (in-person or online delivery)
• Student Level: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced
• No. of students: up to 20 students per class
• Lesson: Fourteen 100-minute online sessions per quarter (two quarters). Classes are held on a mix of Mondays and Thursdays or Tuesdays and Fridays.
• This credit course corresponds to the university's 7-week quarter, requiring instructors to deliver all 14 lessons. Record-keeping of attendance and grades is mandatory.

Qualifications:

• Two years or more of relevant English for academic purposes (EAP) teaching experience (preferably in a university-level setting).
• M.A. degree or equivalent qualification (desirable).

Remuneration:

• Ranging approximately from 110,000 to 120,000 per class (including grading fees).
• Reimbursement of commuting expenses from home to work (up to 50,000 yen per month, subject to company policies).
• Please note:
  - Limited express train costs are not covered.
  - Driving to work is not allowed.
