About The Team
You will be joining a mid-sized group of JavaScript engineers working on a sophisticated and modern web app. You will build and support a suite of React web apps, a common design system, full-stack BI solutions and more on top of Treasure Data's powerful processing platform that enables customers to store, access, and analyze huge quantities of data.

You will be a Senior Frontend Engineer, an individual who will contribute to the Front-end team in the following areas: Technical Skills, Delivery, and Collaboration & Leadership.

Responsibilities & Duties
Technical Skills

• Understands and makes well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs in our Front-end codebases; able to work in other areas of the codebase/system with guidance.
• Effective at debugging/troubleshooting systems: takes a systematic approach, knows a broad set of techniques, able to work with unfamiliar systems, and doesn't let frustration get the best of them.

• Demonstrates and utilizes knowledge of:

• Front-end research and trends.

• Our infrastructure and build systems

• Reduces risk of their technical deliverables through a variety of means, such as: 'safe by default', 'disallowing invalid states', 'building for observability', and 'single source of truth'

Delivery

• Regularly delivers software on-time and is constantly working to make accurate forecasts and deliver on those forecasts.
• Persistent in the face of roadblocks; dispatches them efficiently, pulling in others as necessary. Requires minimal direction/oversight.
• Able to tackle quarter-level goals, including the processes to break down & prioritize into intra-quarter or smaller items.
• Proactive in fixing issues before being assigned them. Seeks empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests, and external research
• Looks at test cases and advises downstream and testers (eg: QA, dependent teams, etc) on adjacent code/regression impact.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Identifies problems/risks in own work and others.
• Communicates technical decisions through design docs, tech talks, pairing, reviews and the wiki.
• Leads technical work, including tracking status and completion forecasts, and communicating these regularly.
• Communicates effectively cross functions; is able to work well with Product, Design, etc, as necessary.
• Proactively identifies problems with requirements (lack of clarity, inconsistencies, technical limitations, change management) for their own work and adjacent work, and communicates these issues early to help course-correct.

Required Qualifications

• 4 or more years of experience working as a Front End engineer

• Previous experience with React, Typescript preferred

• 1 or more years of experience leading a small team to deliver projects end (Requirements) to end (Delivery to customer)
