We are representing a well-established international industrial group seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead the finance and controlling function in Japan.
This role also oversees Financial Controlling, administration, and compliance matters, and works closely with the Managing Director to support business performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead finance and controlling operations, including full financial reporting in line with group, regional, statutory, and internal requirements
Manage cash flow, taxation matters, AR/AP, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, and cost control
Prepare rolling forecasts and annual budgets, and monitor performance against KPIs
Implement group and regional policies, acting as the Local Compliance Officer
Support business control, particularly in sales and procurement activities
Oversee general office administration and HR-related matters
Handle ad-hoc assignments as required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and controlling, ideally within a sales or commercial organization
Strong knowledge of Japan GAAP; IFRS exposure is a plus
CIMA or ACCA qualification preferred
Fluent in both English and Japanese
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and comfortable in a cross-cultural environment
